  2. 6eggs
  3. 1/3 cupsugar (80 grams)
  4. 2/3 cupall-purpose flour (80 grams)
  5. 3 tablespoonscornstarch (20 grams)
  6. 1/3 cupwhole milk (80 ml)
  7. 1/3 cupolive oil or melted butter (70 ml)
  8. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract + a pinch of cream of tartar
  9. Decoration
  10. A fewdrops of lemon juice
  11. 1 containerwhipping cream
  12. 1 bagcolored chocolate for making tree decorations
  13. Filling: jam of your choice mixed with a little whipping cream

    Separate the egg yolks and whites. In a bowl, mix the yolks with milk, oil, and vanilla. Sift in the flour and cornstarch, then mix until smooth. In another bowl, add a few drops of lemon juice to the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold a small amount of the egg whites into the yolk mixture to lighten it, then fold the yolk mixture back into the remaining egg whites until fully combined.

    Make sure both mixtures are well blended together.

    Pour the batter into a rectangular pan. Preheat the oven to 270°F (160°C) and bake for 10 minutes.

    Place the baked cake on parchment paper lightly brushed with oil, then roll it up with the paper to help it hold its shape.

    Unroll the cake, spread the filling inside, and roll it back up.

    Whip the cream and melt the chocolate to decorate the cake as you like. Use the colored chocolate to create tree decorations.
