I don't know about you, but I find it extremely frustrating to search for baked beans recipes and discovering that all the recipes *start* with a can of baked beans. Seriously??
So I looked around and found a recipe. I altered it to avoid onions

I don't know about you, but I find it extremely frustrating to search for baked beans recipes and discovering that all the recipes *start* with a can of baked beans. Seriously??
So I looked around and found a recipe. I altered it to avoid onions
Steps

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Add tomato paste to a large cooking pot. Cook over med high heat until the tomato paste starts to brown.

Add all the other ingredients (minus the salt) and stir together.

Bake in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes.

Remove the pot from the oven and taste for seasoning. Add salt or other seasonings if needed.

Put the pot back in the oven and bake for another 30 minutes. If the sauce is thick enough, remove from the oven. If not, cook another 10 - 15 minutes.
