At first, heat oil in a kadhai add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves. Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilli and saute for few seconds. Now add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder, mashed potato and 1/2 tbsp salt. Mix everything well.

Now add chopped coriander leaves and mix properly. Batata vada mixture is ready now. Keep aside. Let it cool down completely.

Take a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, baking soda, 1/2 tbsp salt and 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder. Mix everything well. Add water and make a thick batter. Batter is ready now.

Now take a kadhai heat oil. Make a medium size ball of potato mixture and deep into the batter and fry them till golden brown. Take it out in a kitchen towel. Batata Vada is ready now. Serve hot with tomato sauce and chutney and enjoy...... 😋😋
