- 4
Add 1 cup warm water and combine
- 5
Add pepper and chopped onions to beans powder. Whisk to combine.
- 6
Add garlic, ginger, crayfish powder, salt and seasoning.
Whisk together to combine and incorporate air. - 7
Pour into blender cup.
Keep in refrigerator for about 30mins or an hour so as to allow to soak/soften.
I keep in refrigerator so that it doesn't develop sour taste. - 8
Blend for maximum of 1 minute to incorporate air and prep your oil.
- 9
Oil should be in a fairly deep pan, so that your akara can come out as balls and not flat.
Oil should be hot enough to fry the balls outside. But not too hot so that the inside gets cooked before the outside burns 🤷🏿♀️ - 10
Best to eat hot so that it doesn't get hard
