Green Chutney Chutney also known as Coriander Mint Chutney or Dhania Pudina Chutney is a very quick and easy chutney that goes well with all Indian Chaat or Snacks like samosa, bhel, bhel puri, sev puri, ragda patties, khaman, dhokla, etc ... and also as a spread for sandwiches, rolls or wraps etc.
There are many variations for this chutney.. like fresh curd can be added to serve it as a dip with appetizers, coconut can be added to this green chutney to be served with South Indian delicacies like dosa, idli.., roasted peanuts or raw mangoes can also be added to this green chutney to make it in other flavours.
This Green Chutney can also be frozen in small air tight containers or in form of Ice Cubes and use whenever required.

Ingredients

No cooking
makes 1 bowl
  • 2 cupsFresh Green Coriander Leaves tightly packed
  • 1 cupMint Leaves tightly packed
  • 1/2 inchGinger piece chopped
  • 2-3Green Chillies
  • As per tasteSalt
  • as per requirementBlack Salt to taste
  • 1 tspRoasted Jeera
  • 1 tbspLemon Juice
  • 2-3Ice Cubes

Steps

No cooking
  1. 1

    Wash fresh green coriander leaves and mint leaves. Remove seeds from green chillies and roughly chop it. Remove skin from ginger and roughly chop it

    Take washed fresh green coriander leaves, mint leaves, chopped green chillies, ginger, salt, black salt, roasted jeera, lemon juice and ice cubes in a mixer grinder jar. Grind everything to a smooth paste. Remove in a mixing bowl.

    Green Chutney is ready to use. Store in an small air tight containers or make ice cubes and then store in zip lock bags.
