Ingredients

Prep 5 to 10 min, Cook 20 to 25 min
Makes about 330g after cooking
  1. 1 cup (130 g)Dry Lentils (Brown and Green, Black, Mixed)
  2. 3 cups (750 ml)Water
  3. 1Bay leaf
  4. This recipe is intended to be compatible with the diet of individuals with diabetes, kidney and heart disease, but please consult your doctor, renal nurse, nutritionist or other medical professionals!

Cooking Instructions

Prep 5 to 10 min, Cook 20 to 25 min

    Rinse Lentils and remove any dirt and debris.

    Place the clean lentils to a thick bottom pot and add water.

  3. 3

    Bring to a boil the lentils from step 2; then, reduce heat to Medium temperature. Put Bay leaf on top, and cook about 15 to 20 minuets, or until the lentils tender but not mushy, stir occasionally.

    Drain excess water. Discard Bay leaf.

    The lentils can be added your salad, soup, curry, taco, and more!
