326. Chicken and Shrimp Siomay Dumplings (Topped with Carrot and Button Mushrooms)

Making food that my family loves is something I really enjoy. Especially when I imagine everyone enjoying the dish while chatting or watching a favorite movie. It makes me even more excited to cook. These siomay dumplings are one of our favorite dishes to enjoy while talking or watching together. Previously, I shared a siomay recipe mixed with broccoli and another with seaweed topping. This time, I'm sharing a chicken and shrimp siomay recipe topped with carrot and button mushrooms. I use ready-made Bangkok chili sauce for dipping, although I wanted to make my own siomay sauce, but since I still have some Bangkok chili sauce, I'll use that for now. Since I made quite a lot, I stored some in the freezer to enjoy later when we're hungry again. By the way, this is the recipe for the last week of PGBA, and I'm so grateful to have completed the challenge to the end.

Steps
- 1
Blend the filling ingredients except for the grated chayote and carrot (I used a food processor);
- 2
Place in a bowl, then add the grated chayote and carrot, and mix the dough until well combined;
- 3
Prepare the wrappers, place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper, and shape the siomay as shown in the picture;
- 4
Add carrot and button mushroom toppings (or others as desired);
- 5
Prepare a steamer that has been preheated, arrange the siomay in the steamer, and steam for 30 minutes or until cooked through;
- 6
The chicken and shrimp siomay with carrot and button mushroom topping is ready to enjoy. Enjoy trying it out!
