Assemble ingredients

Soak rice for around 1 hour and drain excess water.

In moderately heated pan / Kadhai, add oil + ghee and allow to heat, add whole spices + grated ginger and sauté for around one minute.
Add chopped capsicum + green peas + 2 green chilli and sauté for 2-3 minutes by adding little salt. - 4
Add Garam Masala and sauté for 3-4 minutes, Add rice and sauté very gently for 2-3 minutes.

Add hot water + salt + green chilli and stir well. Cook at high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Lower flame, add sugar and cook further for 5-6 minutes under cover, check in between whether more water is required or not.

Check rice have turned soft or not. add little more ghee, mix well and cook for around 2 minutes.
Switch off flame and keep in stand by mode for 3-4 minutes. - 8
Dish is done. Serve hot hot.

Have paired with Tomato Chutney.
