Peel and mash boiled potatoes in mixing bowl. Add salt and green garlic chilli ginger paste. Mix well and keep aside.

In tadka pan add heat oil. Do tempering of urad dal, as it turns pinkish add mustard seeds, cumin seeds as splutter add turmeric powder.Off the flame. Pour this tempering on prepared potato mixture. Add salt, lemon juice. Mix well. Make lemon size oval shape balls. Keep aside.

In another mixing bowl add besan, chopped spinach leaves, asafoetida, salt. Add little little water and prepare semi thick batter for wada.

Heat oil for frying. In prepared besan batter add baking soda and on it pour/ squeeze lemon juice. Mix well.

Dip prepared spicy potato balls in besan-spinach batter and drop gently in hot oil, 3-4 at a time. Deep fry in hot oil on medium flame till crispy golden.

Serve Relish Delicious Hot Palak Batata Wada with tomato sauce.
