Ingredients

25-30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1and 1/2 cup fresh hara chana (popta)
  2. 4-5green chilies
  3. 1/2 teaspoongrated ginger
  4. 1/2 cupchopped coriander leaves
  5. 50-70 ggrated paneer
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/2 teaspoonchat masala
  8. 1 teaspoongaram masala
  9. 1 teaspoonroasted cumin seeds powder
  10. 1 teaspoonlemon juice
  11. 1 tablespoonsesame seeds
  12. 1 tablespoongreen garlic paste or 6-7 crushed garlic cloves
  13. 1 cupbreadcrumbs or as required
  14. Oil for shallow frying

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook fresh chana in boiling water for 12-15 minutes. Then strain water from them. Cool down completely.

    Chop cooked chana along with green chilies and ginger in chopper coarsely. Transfer into a mixing bowl.

    Add grated paneer, chopped coriander leaves, sesame seeds, garlic paste, salt, chat masala, garam masala, roasted cumin seeds powder and lemon juice. Add breadcrumbs and combine all ingredients well.

    Prepare equal size 14-15 tikkis or kabab from it. Shallow fry in hot oil until golden on both side. Delicious hara chana is ready to serve. Serve with green chutney.
