Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  2. 1 cupchopped onion yello
  3. 1 lb90% lean ground beef
  4. 2 tbsdried parsley
  5. 1 tspdry thyme
  6. 1 tspdried rosemary
  7. 1 tbsWorcester sauce
  8. 1 tbsminced garlic or 2 cloves
  9. 2 tbflour all purpose
  10. 1 cupbeef broth
  11. 2 tbstomato paste
  12. Salt and pepper to taste
  13. 1 cupfrozen mixed veggies (peas carrots corn green beans)
  14. Potato topping
  15. 2 lbspotato peele boiled and mashed
  16. 1 stickbutter unsalted
  17. 1/3 cupheavy cream or half and half
  18. 1/4 cupshredded parmesean
  19. Salt and pepper to taste

  1. 1

    Add oil to skillet over medium high heat till hot. Add onion and cook till clear.

  2. 2

    Preheat oven to 400 and start boiling peeled potatoes in separate pan. Boil 10-15 minutes till soft to mash. While boiling proceed meat mixture.

    Add ground beef, parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt pepper and cook till browned.

  4. 4

    Add Worcester and garlic cook to mix

  5. 5

    Add flour, paste and blend

  6. 6

    Add beef broth, frozen veggies and boil. Then simmer for 5 minutes

  7. 7

    Drain boiled potatoes and let rest 1 minutes, in mixing bowl add butter, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt pepper and mash till creamy

  8. 8

    Add parmesean to potatoes and mix well

  9. 9

    Pour meat mixture in 9x9 pan. Pread evenly to bottom.

  10. 10

    Spoon the potatoes on top of meat evenly.

    Baked uncovered for 25 minutes

  12. 12

    Let cool 15-20 minutes. (If you don't it will be runny)

    Should serve in blocks and is even better reheated.
