Ingredients

2 and a half hours
10 pieces
  1. 1 1/8 lbspork (about 500 grams)
  2. 10dried guajillo chiles
  3. 2 1/4 lbsmasa harina dough (about 1 kilogram)
  4. 1 1/3 cupslard (about 300 grams)
  5. 1 tablespoonbaking powder (about 12 grams)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 10corn husks for tamales

Cooking Instructions

    Cook the chiles, then blend them and add to the previously cooked pork.

    Soften the lard, then add the masa, baking powder, and salt to taste. Knead with the pork broth until the dough is spreadable.
