Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

Donuts are something which is loved by everyone let's make it in an easier and healthier way. What about baked donuts and that too without kneading the dough and the taste will absolutely be amazing even more better. I will coat the donuts in 2 different glaze you can coat them in any flavour and in anyway you like. Follow the step by step recipe to make a perfect baked donuts.

  2. 2

Firstly in a cup of warm milk add a tsp of sugar mix it then add the instant yeast and mix it soo well that there must not be any lumps. Each and every particle of yeast must be dissolved. It is a must do step to activate the yeast. Make sure the milk is warm neither hot nor cold else the yeast will not activate. When well combined cover it and keep it aside for 10 minutes. After 8-10 minutes the yeast will rise and doubles in size with airy bubbles. This time it's ready to be added.

  3. 3

For this recipe the butter must be melted and the milk must be warm rest every ingredient should be on room temperature. In a big bowl crack the eggs slightly beat them to combine then add rest of the sugar along with butter and vanilla essence and mix them well. Now sift the flour with salt and mix it with the egg mixture. Once done add the activated yeast mixture in the flour mixture and mix very well. Make sure there isn't any lumps and everything is well combined.

  4. 4

The dough will be runny and very sticky at this point but don't worry it will be fine at the end. Now cover it with a cling wrap making sure no air go inside it then cover it with a kitchen towel and keep it in a warm place. After 90 minutes or 2 hours the dough will be more than double in size. Don't use it at this point it's very sticky at this point also. Keep it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours then use. By this it will enhance more flavour and it will dry also.

  5. 5

You can even keep the dough for 3-4 days in the refrigerator and it will be perfectly fine. Take out the dough at the time you need to use and roll it. I kept my dough for 24 hours after that I take it out dust the working surface with lots of flour and place the dough on it and make a ball of it. Then I flattened it by my hands and finally roll it with a rolling pin in half inch thick disc. Then cut it in the desired size. I make it a bit small then the normal size.

  6. 6

Cut it with a cookie cutter or anything you have in a circle then for a donut hole I used a nozzle you can cut it with a small cap if you don't have nozzle. Like so make all the donuts. Then grease a baking tray and line it with a parchment paper or butter paper and place the donuts on it leaving some space because it will rise and doubles in size when we will proof it for the second time and it's a must do step don't skip it. If you have donut mould grease it and make the donuts in that.

  7. 7

While the donuts are proofing preheat the oven at 190°C for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes butter wash the donuts means grease it with melted butter gently by this it will give a beautiful colour then bake it at 190°C for 15 minutes. For the donut holes you can bake them as it is or roll them and make donuts out of them at same temprature. While the donuts are baking let's make the glaze for that in a bowl add powdered sugar and cold milk mix it well and the glaze is ready.

  8. 8

You can use any colour you want or simply use as it is. I used pink colour. For the chocolate glaze see the recipe on my account. After the donuts are baked transfer them on a cooling rack and immediately dip it in the glaze. Give a good thick coating of glace on half of the donut. You can add Colourful sprinkles on the sugar glaze and chocolate shaves on the chocolate glaze and it's totally optional. Decorate it the way you like.

  9. 9

You can even make a mix of cinnamon powder and powdered sugar and coat the donuts or donut holes with it or simply dip the donut holes in the chocolate glaze and use it. You can store it in a box and keep it in the refrigerator and it will be good for a week and 2-3 days on room temperature.
These airy yummy donuts are so good that you will love every bite of it.
Make it and enjoy it with your loved ones.
    Happy Baking🥰
