Black chickpea and potato curry is very tasty and healthy. Chickpeas are good for your health, and this makes a delicious curry.

Boil the potatoes and black chickpeas. Peel and cut the potatoes, then fry them.

Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Add bay leaves, chili powder, and garlic. After 1 minute, add onions. When the onions turn slightly golden, add tomato paste and mix in the spices: turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Cook the spice mixture for 5-7 minutes. Add water as needed. When the water starts to boil, add the boiled chickpeas and potatoes.

Mix well. Add garam masala and cook the curry for 2 more minutes. When it comes to a boil, add fresh cilantro and turn off the heat. Your black chickpea and potato curry is ready. Serve hot with roti or paratha. It's very tasty!
