Pounded Yam and Egusi Soup
Steps

Peel the skins off the yam and slice. Rinse and place the yam in a pot and add enough water to the level of the yam.

Cover and cook the yam until they're fork tender. Put the boiled yam inside your Mortar and pound it with the pestle.
- 3
Pound until it becomes smooth with a dough like consistency. Wrap immediately and keep aside.

Serve with your favorite soup or stew. Served mine with egusi soup.
