Naija jollof rice

So many times, our jollof rice goes wrong because of little mistakes which I'd be sharing with you while explaining the procedures. Now, to prepare jollof rice, we must have a little more than enough ingredients just in case the need for more arises 😊. And guess what, I'm going to show you a very economical way to prepare this cuz you don't have to break a bank to prepare jollof rice anymore.

Now, to prepare jollof rice, we must have a little more than enough ingredients just in case the need for more arises 😊. And guess what, I'm going to show you a very economical way to prepare this cuz you don't have to break a bank to prepare jollof rice anymore.
Steps
- 1
Firstly, we need to do basic things like parboiling our rice until it's slightly soft,
Blending the fresh pepper, tomatoes and 1 onion, getting our meat stock(optional), and of course, getting our utensils ready. - 2
In an empty pot (large enough to contain the rice), pour in vegetable oil and wait until it's heated. Pour the blended tomato/pepper/onion mixture and stir. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and don't forget to turn occasionally with a wooden spoon or stick (wood makes your jollof different trust me)
- 3
Pour your tomato paste and stir. Add milk cup of water and keep stiring.
Let it cook for ten minutes. - 4
Add your spice, seasoning cubes and salt. Mix thoroughly and add more water / meat stock (be careful when adding water, you won't love your rice to come out soggy). Let it boil for five minutes.
- 5
Pour the first ⅓ of the parboiled rice and mix. Follow this pattern and boom, your rice is in there completely.
If you have meat or fish, arrange it on it and cover the pot. Boil till it gets dried and be burns a bit. - 6
If you have carrots or any other vegetables you'd like to add, add them before the water dries completely.
- 7
And Your Naija jollof is ready😊.
If you tried this, send a snap of it.
If you have any questions, send them to me on Whatsapp 09019894761😊😊
