Steps

Take a small amount of kofta and shape it into balls or logs, as you prefer, until all the mixture is used.

Place the shaped kofta in a baking dish along with the sliced onion.

Add a small amount of water to the dish.

Cover with aluminum foil and cook on the stovetop until the kofta balls are cooked through and the onions are soft.

Transfer the dish to the oven and bake until the kofta is nicely browned and roasted.

Note: You can add tomatoes, potatoes, or bell peppers to the dish, but I prefer serving it with roasted potatoes and a sprinkle of mixed spices on the side.
