I had heavy cream leftover from making "ChouBukiccho's" Rice Flour Chocolate Cake. It was delicious and I adapted it a bit. Before finalizing this recipe, I went through a series of trial and errors.

Different kinds of heavy cream will whip up differently. Takanashi-brand 35% fat whipping cream may not work. For 5 ramekins (7 cm [2.8 in]). Recipe by Asamato

  1. 200 mlHeavy cream
  2. 100 gramsChocolate
  3. 1 tspGelatin

Steps

    Add chocolate, 50 ml of heavy cream, and gelatin (dissolved in 3 teaspoons of water) to a double broiler and melt.

    Remove from heat, add the remaining cream and whip to peaks over a bowl of ice water.

    When it's creamy, chill until set in serving dishes. It's very rich, so I recommend serving in small dishes. It's garnished with a walnut in the photo.
