Mixed Daal Masala

I got this mixed daal from department store. Made this simple masala with minimal masala, coconut powder and grated cheese. I prefer to give a tadka to the mixed daal. It's delicious and special. Goes well with rice, rice. This recipe could be served in party as well.

I got this mixed daal from department store. Made this simple masala with minimal masala, coconut powder and grated cheese. I prefer to give a tadka to the mixed daal. It's delicious and special. Goes well with rice, rice. This recipe could be served in party as well.

Wash and soak the mixed daal for 10 minutes.

Arrange the ingredients, pressure cook the daal, heat oil and splutter ponch phutan and bay leaves. Add chopped onion and green chilli. Add masala paste when the onion turns golden.

Now mix chopped tomatoes, coriander powder and cumin powder and red chilli powder. Cook on low flame till oil separates from the masala. Add coconut powder and mix with masala.

Mix the masala with cooked daal and add the tadka and mix nicely with daal.

Garnish with grated cheese and lemon and serve.
