Ingredients

8 hrs 30 minutes
4 servings
  • 1 1/2 cupmulti Millet rava (I used shatabdi organic multi millet rava)
  • 1 cupwhite urad dal
  • 3 cupWater
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 2 tbscoconut oil

Steps

8 hrs 30 minutes
  1. 1

    Measure multi millet rava and take it into a bowl.
    Add water in it and mix it well. Add more water as per requirement.
    Soak it for 30 minutes.

    Soak urad dal in water for 4 to 5 hours.
    Grind soaked urad dal into fine paste.

    Add urad dal paste into soaked multi millet rava mixture.
    Give the mixture a good mix till combines well.
    Let the mixture ferment for over night.

    Add salt according to your taste into the fermented mixture and give it a good mix till mixture well combines.

    Grease the idli paltes with coconut oil. Fill the idli plates with the batter
    Prepare idlis in idli steamer.

    Let it cook till they get the soft texture.
    Let it cools down for some time. And demold it.
    The soft, spongy and fluffy idlies are ready to serve.
