Steps
- 1
Add the ragi to a mixer jar and grind it finely. Then grind the ginger, chillies and garlic too. In a bowl, add ragi flour, suji, yogurt, water and salt and prepare a smooth better. Then cover it and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 2
Heat the water in a pot, grease the caketin with oil and heat it. After the water is heated, divide the prepared better into two equal parts.
- 3
In the first part, add a spoonful of Eno and juice of half a lemon over it and stir.
- 4
Add this better to the heated caketin and sprinkle red chilli powder over it. Cover it with a lid and let it steam for 15 minutes. Boil the prepared dhokla from the second batter too. After it cools down, take it out and cut it.
- 5
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin, sesame seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and chillies and saute for 2 minutes.
- 6
Add the prepared tadka over the dhokla. So, Ragi dhokla is ready to serve.
