First wash the fish thrice with haldi powder and salt. Once it is done then drain the excess water and transfer to another plate. Then marinate with haldi pwder, red chilli powder, salt and mustard oil. Mix it well so that the masala coated well with a fish. Once it is done then keep aside. Heat oil in a iron kadai. Fry the fish for few seconds. Don't over fry other wise it will break. Once it is done then transfer to a plate.

Heat oil in a pan or kadai. Fry kalo jeera/ black cumin seeds for few seconds. Then add the masala paste, haldi powder. kashmiri red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and salt. Mix it well. Fry in a slow flame. Add little water so that the masala will not burn.

Again enough water as needed. add salt as needed. Cook for 1 minute till the raw smell of masala goes off. Or till fish cook well.

Once it is done then transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy with a steam rice
