I wanted to come up with a way to munch on a whole stick of chikuwa. This is a fancy way to serve up an easy, instant-prep snack.

Adjust the amount of parsley and curry powder to taste. Also be sure to adjust the amount of water accordingly.
The coating will be light, but feel free to make it as thick as you like. Coat the chikuwa evenly before frying. For 2 servings. Recipe by Mawaru7

2 servings
  1. 2Chikuwa
  2. 2 tsp● Katakuriko
  3. 1/3to 1/2 teaspoon ● Curry powder
  4. 1/2 tsp● Fresh parsley
  5. 1or more teaspoons ● Water
  6. 1Black pepper (coarsely ground)
  7. 1Oil

Steps

    Combine the ● ingredients and mix well. Add the chikuwa sticks and coat.

    Pour about 1 cm of oil in a pan, then evenly fry the chikuwa until crisp.

    Sprinkle with black pepper while hot. I recommend wrapping them halfway in parchment paper and munching on them as finger food.
