I drew fun Halloween characters using icing! By using specially shaped cookie cutters you can make even more designs. I hope you'll make a lot of these cookies!Watch the consistency of the icing. For drawing outlines and letters it should be on the stiff side, and to spread out over a large area it should be on the loose side.When thinning out the icing, try adding a drop of lemon juice. Super easy , and good!I made this for Valentine’s Day for the family, but you can use plain M&M’s or any holiday kind. This is good for any holiday or party, events, cookouts , bbq , pot lucks . I cheated and used a cookie bag mix , because I was being lazy , but I do make the cookie mix from the recipe when I have the time or the ingredients , both ways are great... and easy.

Kids love these multi-coloured cookies (and adults too!) 🌈 You can also make this recipe without the smarties for a nice soft sugar cookie (in case there is someone in your family that doesn't like fun!)."Smarties" is the name of the hard colorful chocolate candy in Europe and Canada which are similar to "M&M's" in the states, and "Marble chocolate" in Japan. You can use any of them for this recipe 😋I find the name-brand candy holds its color in the oven, whereas the no-name ones tend to fade, but the taste is the same.
