Ingredients

15-20 minutes prep time, 1 hour total cook time
3-8 people (depending on served as a meal or side)
  1. 1 (2 lb.)bag frozen hashbrowns (shredded or homestyle, your choice)
  2. 2small cans condensed cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery or chicken, I prefer the mushroom)
  3. 2 cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese
  4. 1/4 cupranch dressing
  5. 1large can/bag french fried onions
  6. OPTIONAL: Diced ham, diced chicken, and/or veggies you desire, such as broccoli, bell pepper, jalapeño pepper, onion, etc. (**These are all optional**)

Cooking Instructions

15-20 minutes prep time, 1 hour total cook time
  1. 1

While preheating your oven to 375°-400° F, mix everything EXCEPT the french fried onions together in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.

  2. 2

Pour into a 13"x 9" casserole dish, using the back of a your mixing spoon to level it off and spread it into the dish evenly. (If the mixture seems a little dry, add a little more ranch dressing at a time before pouring into the casserole dish.)

  3. 3

Bake uncovered at 375°-400°F for 55 minutes or until bubbly. Remove from the oven and top evenly with the french fried onions.

  4. 4

Bake for 5 more minutes, just to warm and crisp up the onions a little more.

  5. 5

    Devour and enjoy!!!

**NOTE: If you don't like French fried onions (but let's be real here, who doesn't??? LOL) Try coarsely crushing up some Nacho Cheese Doritos, and topping with those instead. I haven't tried those yet, but I think they sound like a delicious substitution option. Everyone I know loves french fried onions, so I haven't needed to try the Doritos LOL**
