Homemade Pongal (Ven Pongal, Ghee Pongal) Recipe

One of the fastest (under 20 mins) breakfast recipes I can make. Can also serve as dinner recipe. We always enjoy it served hot. There are few variations of this recipe depending on ingredients. I am keeping it simple.

One of the fastest (under 20 mins) breakfast recipes I can make. Can also serve as dinner recipe. We always enjoy it served hot. There are few variations of this recipe depending on ingredients. I am keeping it simple.
Steps

Wash the rice and moong dal and put it in pressure cooker to boi. Note that you need to add to extra water for boiling

Wait for atleast 3-4 whistles for the rice to bowl

Take a big pan and add ghee to it.

Add cashew, jeera, pepper, green chilly, di patta, adadequate salt as per your need. Saute it well

After 2-3 mins, add the rice. Mix it well. Serve it hot

Add cashew, jeera, pepper, green chilly, di patta, adadequate salt as per your need. Saute it well
