#GoldenApron23As a Greek-American, I grew up with bay leaves used as an herb in roasts, soups, & stews, but wondered what else they could be used for in recipes. After researching recipes online, I learned that bay leaves can be boiled along with herbs and spices such as ginger & cinnamon to make a lovely, warm, uplifting tea. Here's the recipe! Christina T -

Salabat (Ginger Root Tea) with Turmeric Salabat (Ginger Root Tea) with Turmeric
Salabat is the Tagalog word for ginger tea, a drink popular in the Philippines for soothing sore throats or coughs. Mrs Wyrm has been asking me to make this sort of tea for some time, so I did some experimentation and this seems to be the best ratio I've found. Drink it hot or cold as you like. Turmeric supposedly has medicinal properties, but frankly I just think it tastes good. 🇵🇭☕ 蛟龍Stormwyrm -

Sweet Milk Tea Ring Bread with Black Tea Leaves Sweet Milk Tea Ring Bread with Black Tea Leaves
This bread is rich with the scent of the tea and milk, so I made it to send as a gift. You can adjust the amount of tea leaves to suit your tastes, but they will soak up the moisture, so increase the amount of milk as needed if you do. If you want to bake it to a nice golden brown color all over, then it will take about 16~18 minutes (they were baked for 15 minutes in the photo). For 18 cm [7.1 in] chiffon mold. Moroccan mint tea Moroccan mint tea
In Morocco, tea is served sweet. But you can decrease/increase the amount of sugar as you preferences. Drinking tea helps to alleviate a lot of stress that has accumulated over the day. Calming, tonic, with a great minty flavour, this is highly recommended ! Haleema Emane -

Chestnut and Milk Tea Bread Rolls Chestnut and Milk Tea Bread Rolls
When I was going to make some tea-scented bread, I remembered that I had a lot of chestnuts simmered in their skins in syrup that I'd made before, so I added them into the bread. It smelled so nice! And the sweetness was just right! The bread was delicious! The dough is on the soft side, so if it doesn't come together after kneading it for a while, add a little bread flour, or else reduce the amount of milk tea you add. When putting the rolls on the baking sheet, leave as much space between them as possible since they will increase in volume. You can add tea leaves to the dough too.
