Ingredients

2 serves
  • 5baby onions 🧅
  • To be ground into powder : 👇
  • 2 tbspraw peanuts 🥜
  • 1 tbspsesame seeds
  • 1 tsppoppy seeds
  • Green Paste : 👇
  • 2spicy green chillies
  • 4-5 sprigsgreen garlic
  • 1/2 inchginger
  • Dry Masala : 👇
  • 2 tspsattu (roasted gram flour)
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 2 tbspcoriander - cumin seeds powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • Other Ingredients : 👇
  • 3 tbspoil preferably groundnut oil
  • A fewfried cashews & golden raisins to add in the vegetable
  • Fried cashews and golden raisins for garnish

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Peel the baby onions & steam them. Grind dry powder of peanuts, poppy seeds & sesame seeds. Make green paste with green chilies, green garlic & ginger.

    Take oil in a pan and saute dry masalas & powdered sesame & peanuts.

    Add green paste & tomato puree. Cook till raw smell of tomatoes evaporates.Add 1 cup of water.Mix & cook on slow flame.

    Add garam masala. Add boiled onions & cook for 5 minutes. If the gravy is thick, set the consistency accordingly. Switch off the flame. Serve Kathiyawadi Do Pyaaz in a bowl. Garnish with fried cashews & golden raisins.
