My favorite winter ingredient is DiBruno Bros. (South Philadelphia) Abbruzze cheese spread. It is creamy, spicy and cheesy! I like to use it for cooking because it melts into a flavorful sauce for pasta dishes.

My favorite winter ingredient is DiBruno Bros. (South Philadelphia) Abbruzze cheese spread. It is creamy, spicy and cheesy! I like to use it for cooking because it melts into a flavorful sauce for pasta dishes.

Ingredients

40 minutes
3-4 people
  1. 1 lb.Hot (or sweet) Italian sausage, cut into medallions
  2. 5 Oz.DiBruno Bros. Abbruzze cheese spread
  3. 3 Oz.Milk
  4. 6 Oz.Bag of fresh spinach
  5. 3/4 lb.Potato gnocchi

Cooking Instructions

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Brown sausage medallions in a pan over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes.

    Add the cheese spread and milk. Lower heat to medium until cheese melts into a nice sauce.

  3. 3

    Lower heat to simmer and let simmer while cooking gnocchi.

  4. 4

    Cook gnocchi in a pot of boiling water for 4-6 minutes.

    Just before draining the gnocchi, put spinach in the pan with the sausage, for about 2-3 minutes, until spinach begins to wilt.

  6. 6

    Drain gnocchi, place in a serving dish and pour the sausage/spinach/sauce mixture over top and serve immediately.
