Ingredients

3+2 minutes
12 balls
  • 1/2 cupragi/ little millet flour
  • 1/4 cupregular Oats
  • 2 Tbsprice flour
  • 1/2 cupfresh curd
  • Water
  • 1/2 cupmilk powder
  • 2 Tbspwhite sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbspchopped almonds
  • 1/2 Tspcrushed carom seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp dry ginger powder (South) powder
  • 1/4 cupjaggery powder
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1/5 Tsp cardamom powder
  • Ghee /clarified butter to greas cavities

Steps

  1. 1

    Arrange and assemble the ingredients for preparation.

    Make the ragi batter with ragi flour, oats, rice flour, curd and water. Make a thick batter and rest it for 30 minutes to get fermented.

    Then add the jaggery powder, crushed ajwain seeds, ginger powder.

    Mix well and further add milk powder, sesame seeds, chopped almonds and cardamom powder. Mix well.

    Grease the cavities of apam patra with ghee and pour batter in each cavity. Garnish with cashews and roasted chana daal. Cover and cook cook on low flame both the sides. Enjoy the sweet ragi balls. Thanks.
