Brown Butter Banana Bread

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 cupunsalted butter
  2. 1 cupbrown sugar
  3. 3overripe bananas (if not overripe put in on a baking tray and place in oven until banana peel turns black, let cool and then use)
  4. 1 tspvanilla extract
  5. 1egg
  6. 2 cupsall purpose flour
  7. 1 tspbaking soda
  8. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  9. 1/4 tspsalt
  10. 1 cupsemi sweet chocolate

Cooking Instructions

    In a medium saucepan, make the brown butter and set over medium heat. Stir the butter occasionally until it turns amber in color and develops little brown specks. Transfer the brown butter to a medium sized mixing bowl. Set the brown butter aside to cool for 10 minutes.

    Mix brown butter with brown sugar.

    Mash 3 bananas to add to mixture. Mix throughly.

    Add vanilla extract and egg. Mix again.

    In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

    Gently fold dry mixture into wet mixture.

    Fold in semi sweet chocolate.

    Place batter into loaf pan and sprinkle brown sugar and extra chocolate on top.

    Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes.

    Allow it to sit and cool for an hour before cutting into the banana bread. Enjoy!!
