Got some leftover roast ham? Sick of ham sandwiches? Make this soup!Here’s the long version for inspiration, but you can happily cut out half these steps (eg frying the ham, puréeing half the lentils, etc.) and it would still be delicious, hearty, and an economical winter warmer. Use whatever root veggies you’ve got on hand. Add any dairy/green veg/lemon right near the end.

New Years Day leftovers put to good use!!!

You can add Spicy Brown or regular mustard to give it a little bit of a tangy or spicy bite to it. In all it's a delicious sandwich!

Traditionally we cook a ham with pineapple on New Years Day celebration. I absolutely love pineapple. I cannot resist when I see pineapple just lounging around on top of ham, to take it and make a simple sandwich.

I have an unopened surplus Xmas Ham and I am going to split and use it for Gratin and Bean soup.
