Ingredients

  1. 11 ozdried chickpeas, sorted, rinsed, and soaked overnight
  2. 11 ozdried fava beans, sorted, rinsed, and soaked overnight
  3. 1 bunchparsley, chopped
  4. 3green onions, finely chopped
  5. 1 tspcayenne
  6. 1.25 tspground coriander
  7. 6garlic cloves, crushed with 1 tsp salt
  8. 1.25 tspbaking powder
  9. 1 tbspsalt
  10. 1at veggie oil, or as needed for frying
  11. 1 tbspcumin

Cooking Instructions

    Drain the soaked beans. Rinse and dry them.

    In a food processor, blend the beans, parsley, onions, cayenne, cumin, coriander, garlic, baking powder, and salt together in batches until the mixture is homogeneous

    Form the mixture into balls of 1-1.5 in diameter and slightly flatten them

    Heat the oil up to 350 F and deep fry for 4 mins

  5. 5

    Remove and drain briefly on towels. Serve immediately.
