Easy and Delicious Chicken in Worcestershire Sauce

Worcestershire sauce is an amazing condiment. It perfectly seasons dishes all by itself! It's easier than making teriyaki and goes great with rice!
The origin of this recipe
Worcestershire sauce tends to last a long time... I was hesitant to use it after it had been open for a while. I thought it might be better if cooked. I tried it on a whim and was surprised! It was more delicious than I imagined!

Steps
- 1
Lightly sprinkle both sides of the chicken thigh with salt and pepper. Mix Worcestershire sauce, sake, and water together.
- 2
In a non-stick frying pan, cook the chicken skin-side down without oil. Once it turns a nice golden color over medium heat, flip it over and use a paper towel to absorb any excess fat.
- 3
Add the mixed seasonings, reduce the heat slightly, cover, and let the chicken cook thoroughly while absorbing the flavors. Once the chicken is cooked through, increase the heat to thicken the sauce and coat the chicken.
- 4
I tried simmering carrots together with it.
