Are you just reheating obanyaki in the microwave and calling it good? Try this method for a much tastier result!
Background of this recipe:
When you microwave frozen obanyaki or pancakes, they can turn out soggy and not very tasty. This method makes them delicious again.

Steps

  1. 1

Place the frozen obanyaki on a plate and microwave uncovered for 1 minute 10–20 seconds.

  2. 2

Once heated, transfer the obanyaki to a toaster oven and toast for about 1 minute. Watch carefully to prevent burning!

  3. 3

When the surface is crispy, it's ready to eat. The outside will be just as crispy and delicious as when you buy it at a festival!

  4. 4

This method also works great for frozen pancakes. You can also use it to reheat dorayaki!

  5. 5

You can even use this method for manju.
