    Brown sausages, slice into chunks diagonally and place in casserole dish.

    Slice onions and peel & slice apples and saute in the oil & butter, till softened slightly.

  3. 3

    Add the brown sugar and allow to gently caramelise a little.

  4. 4

    Add rest of ingredients, mix and pour over sausages.

  5. 5

    Cover and cook 45-50 mins at 180 degrees C.

  6. 6

    If desired thicken juices with cornflour and water. Serve with fluffy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
