Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  • 1–2 pieces mochi (rice cakes)
  • 1egg
  • 1little vegetable oil
  • Sauce, as needed (such as okonomiyaki sauce or tonkatsu sauce)
  • as neededMayonnaise,

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a frying pan with a little vegetable oil. Add the mochi and cook on both sides until golden brown, pressing them flat with a spatula.

  2. 2

    Crack the egg over the mochi and break the yolk. Once the egg starts to set, flip it over and cook lightly on the other side.

  3. 3

    Drizzle with sauce and mayonnaise, then enjoy!
