These are edamame in their pods. If you're having them with beer, you can just boil them with salt as is, but today we'll take the extra step of shelling them.

Shelled edamame! This amount should be good for 2 cups of rice.

Dissolve the salt in boiling water and cook the edamame. Occasionally taste to check if they're done.

This is rice transferred to an earthenware pot after cooking. I wanted to add a special touch, but you can leave it in the rice cooker.
