First, check out the video! Search for 'Kojima Ponsuke' on YouTube!
- 2
Prep the ingredients:
Slice the pork belly into 1 1/4-inch (3 cm) pieces.
Cut the sausages into thirds.
Cut the garlic chives into 1 1/2-inch (4 cm) pieces.
Slice the leek diagonally.
Mince the garlic. - 3
Cook the meat:
Heat the sesame oil in a pot and sauté the pork belly.
When the meat changes color, add the minced garlic and stir to coat the meat with the fat. - 4
Add gochujang:
When the garlic becomes fragrant, add the gochujang and kimchi. Sauté for about 1 minute, then turn off the heat. - 5
Make the soup:
Prepare the water. - 6
Add the Shin Ramyun soup base.
- 7
Add the beef soup stock powder (Dashida).
- 8
Mix well:
If it doesn't dissolve easily, use warm tap water to help it blend. - 9
Assemble in the pot:
Break up the Shin Ramyun noodles so they're easier to share. - 10
Arrange the ingredients as you like.
- 11
Add the garlic chives next to the noodles for color.
- 12
Add the bean sprouts. If you have time, remove the roots. Soybean sprouts are also great for a more Korean flavor.
- 13
Add the pork belly you sautéed earlier.
- 14
Add the leek—it's a classic for hot pot dishes.
- 15
Add the sausages—these are a must for budae jjigae! Smoked sausages add even more flavor.
- 16
Add the kimchi—it's even better if you sautéed it first.
- 17
Pour in the soup you made earlier.
- 18
Don't forget the dried vegetable packet from the Shin Ramyun!
- 19
Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes after it starts boiling. Shin Ramyun tastes best when the noodles are just a little soft.
- 20
Done! Looks delicious, right?
- 21
You won't be able to resist!
- 22
It's also great as cheese dakgalbi! Try more Shin Ramyun recipes: ID19821663
