First wash and soak dal for 30 minutes. Then kept cooker on gas and dry roast hing and jeera.

Add dal, salt and water, give 1 whistle and then slow the gas and cook for another ten minutes.

When pressure releases add ghee to the dal and cook open for ten more minutes on low gas.

Now put the dal in a bowl and top with black salt, jeera powder, bhuna mirchi, both the chutneys, butter and lime juice.
Enjoy the dal with jalebi.
