Heat the milk in a saucepan until just before boiling.

Add the coconut powder and granulated sugar to the milk and mix well.

Strain the mixture through a tea strainer into another container and let it cool completely. (Cool it in an ice bath and then refrigerate.)

Whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks, then gradually add the cooled mixture from step 3, mixing as you go.

Set in an ice cream maker for 40 minutes. Then transfer to a container and store in the freezer.

If you don't have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture and stir occasionally to achieve a smooth texture.

Serve in a glass.
