Steps
- 1
Pour 2/3 cup sake (150 ml) into a measuring cup, then add soy sauce until you reach the 1 1/3 cup (330 ml) mark. Add 8 tablespoons sugar (about 120 grams) and mix well. Your sauce is ready.
- 2
After adding the sugar, the total volume will be about 1 2/3 cups (400 ml). This makes a generous amount.
- 3
If you have leftover sauce, use it the next day for stir-fries or simmered dishes. You can also add vinegar to make a sweet and sour sauce.
