Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 3-4onions (finely chopped)
  • 1carrot (finely chopped)
  • 2tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 bottlegourd (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 tablespoongrated garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoongrated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoonbutter
  • 4 1/4 cupswater (1000ml)
  • 1small amount of cinnamon stick and cloves for aroma

Steps

  1. 1

    Finely chop the onions, carrot, tomatoes, and gourd. Grate the garlic and ginger. Cut the cinnamon stick into short pieces.

    Heat a pot and add the butter.

  3. 3

    Add the grated garlic, ginger, and onions. Sauté until the onions become translucent.

  4. 4

    Add the carrot, tomatoes, and gourd.

  5. 5

    Add the water and season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.

  7. 7

    Cover and cook for 20 minutes.

  8. 8

    Enjoy your fragrant clear soup!
