Finely chop the onions, carrot, tomatoes, and gourd. Grate the garlic and ginger. Cut the cinnamon stick into short pieces.

Heat a pot and add the butter.

Add the grated garlic, ginger, and onions. Sauté until the onions become translucent.

Add the carrot, tomatoes, and gourd.

Add the water and season with salt and pepper.

Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.

Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
