Steps
- 1
1. Mix all the ingredients into a dough and let it rise for one hour. (Mia used a bread machine for this step!)
- 2
2. Lightly grease the cake pan with cooking oil (or butter) and set aside. Once the Panasonic bread machine beeps, indicating the time is up, remove the dough. Roll the dough into a rectangle. (The thinner you roll it, the more layers you'll create!) Evenly sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
- 3
3. Roll the dough into a cylinder and cut it in half along the centerline. (Keep one end connected!) Twist the two strands of dough together.
- 4
4. Coil it into a circle and overlap. Place it in the cake pan for the final rise until it's 80% full. Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C). Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven, take out of the pan, and let cool on a rack. To make the icing: Mix the icing ingredients until smooth.
- 5
5. Once the bread has cooled, drizzle with homemade icing. (The icing will set on the bread in 5-10 minutes!) When you cut the bread, you'll see the delicate and beautiful layers, giving it a cake-like appearance that will amaze everyone!
