Ingredients

  1. 1generous handful green beans
  2. 3 tablespoonsall-purpose flour (about 24 grams)
  3. 2 tablespoonscornstarch (about 16 grams)
  4. 1 tablespoonmayonnaise
  5. scant 1/2 cup water (about 100 ml; add gradually as needed)
  6. 1 teaspooncurry powder (for a fairly bold flavor)

Steps

    Trim the ends and remove the strings from the green beans.

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, and mayonnaise with water until smooth, then add the curry powder and stir briefly.

  3. 3

    Dip the green beans into the batter, then fry in oil at 350°F (180°C) until crispy.
