Wrap the tofu in paper towels and let it sit for about 15 minutes to drain excess water.

Cut the tofu into slices about 1/2 inch (1cm) thick.

Pat the tofu dry and season with salt and pepper.

Coat the tofu in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Pan-fry in plenty of oil until golden brown.

Remove when golden and crispy.

Mix the sauce ingredients together and pour over the tofu to finish.
