Ingredients

  • 400 g (2 cup)- Long grain rice
  • 625 ml (2 1/2 cups)- Coconut milk
  • 1 tsp- Turmeric(kunyit) ground
  • 1/2 tsp- Coriander (ketumbar) ground
  • 2 cloves- Garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tsp- Salt
  • 1large - Onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp- Vegetable oil
  • 1medium - Cucumber, peeled and cut into long strips

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash rice twice and drain. Transfer to a saucepan and add Coconut milk, Turmeric, Coriander, Salam leaf, garlic and salt. Cook, covered tightly, over medium heat.

    Meanwhile, fry onion slices in oil.

  3. 3

    Garnish cooked rice with fried onion slices and cucumber strips. Serve.
