Ingredients

2-3 servings

1 TbspVegetable oil
1Medium - Onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 Cloves- Garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1 tsp- Turmeric (kunyit) ground
1/2 tsp- Cumin (jitan) ground
1tsp, ground - Lemon grass (serai)
1 tsp- Sambal oelek
1pea-sized piece - Dried prawn (shrimp) paste (terasi)
1 Tsp- Salt
250 ml (1 cup)- Coconut milk squeezed from 1/2 grated coconut with sufficient water added
450 g (1 lbs)- Prawns (shrimps) frozen or fresh, peeled, leave tails intact of desired

Heat oil lightly saute onion and garlic.

Add Turmeric, cumin, lemon grass, stir and add sambal oelek, dried prawn paste and salt stir again.

Add coconut milk and bring to the boil. Then, lower heat and add prawns. simmer uncovered for 15 -20 minutes.
