I developed this after thinking it would be delicious to add custard to a Chicago pizza I had at a restaurant!
Steps

[Dough]
Mix all ingredients except olive oil. Once combined, add olive oil and knead until smooth. - 2
Let the dough rise at 104°F (40°C) until it doubles in size.

[Apple Compote]
Thinly slice the apple, add sugar and water, and simmer until the liquid evaporates. - 4
[Custard]
Add sugar to the egg yolks and mix until pale. Add cake flour and mix lightly. - 5
Gradually add warmed milk while mixing. Add vanilla extract if desired.

Heat over medium, stirring quickly to avoid lumps. Once thickened, remove from heat.

Spread the dough in a mold about 4 inches in diameter (an oven-safe dish works too), pour in the custard, and arrange the apple compote on top in a flower shape.

Bake in a 356°F (180°C) oven for 10 minutes. Once the dough is set, remove from the mold and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the sides are crispy. It's ready!
